The session will review the SEQR process to systematically consider environmental factors early in the planning stages of proposed solar energy laws and projects that are directly undertaken, funded, or approved by local, regional, and state agencies. The training session will review the substantive and procedural aspects of the SEQRA regulations. Participants will benefit by incorporating environmental review early in the planning stages, and understand ways solar energy projects can be modified as needed to avoid significant adverse impacts to the environment including, but not limited to, significant adverse impacts to human health, community or neighborhood character, and agricultural resources. This applies to all land use laws and land use projects.
